Case Study - HSE National Ambulance Service, North West

Health service providers are under increasing pressure to maximise the use of the right technologies in order to improve patient care. Telematics solutions are being increasingly deployed to provide users with real-time visibility of ambulances. Integrating the technologies with emergency response systems can significantly improve response time and ultimately improve patient care.

Company Background

HSE National Ambulance Service benefit from Celtrak's telematics solutions. As part of the development of the Health Service Executive, a National Ambulance Service was established in 2005. The objective is to provide clinically appropriate and timely pre-hospital emergency care and patient/client transport services.

The Challenge

The National Ambulance Service, North West, required a sophisticated solution that would integrate with their back-office emergency response system to improve response times for medical emergencies. Being able to identify the vehicle closest to an incident would significantly boost reaction times, translating into better patient care.

The Benefits

  • Improved patient care
